Hey! Posts aren’t going to be as frequent as this in the future, but I still felt writing one today! Firstly, I thank everyone who liked and commented on my previous blog post! I seriously didn’t think anyone would see the post, let alone like it, so thank you! Secondly, to the people who called Perry cute…

Anyway… I like writing. Super obvious, I know. However, most of the time, I never get to experiment with it. Normally, I’m either writing essays for school, or writing fanfiction (and trust me, I will talk more about my fanfiction in the future…). Although recently, I was given the opportunity to participate in an online writing competition! It’s a lot of fun!

It’s called Eleven Words of Wisdom, EWOW for short. It was created by Cary Huang, who is also a creator of many other creative projects that you may have heard of, like BFDI or TPOT. He holds the competition on his youtube channel, Humany. You can check it out if you like.

Basically, this is how the competition works: You are given a prompt. There are a wide variety of them, so you never know what to expect. Once you are given this prompt, you must answer it in eleven words or less. That’s why it is called Eleven Words of Wisdom. For example…

This is the kind of prompt that you can expect. After receiving the prompt, you must fill out a google form with your answer. This was my answer to the prompt:

A bit stilted, I know, but it’s hard to respond in just eleven words. That’s a part of the challenge! Once all of the answers are in, a new video is posted, and you get to vote on which response is the best, and which is the worst. If you do good, you gain a life, and if you do poorly, you lose a life.

I’m making it sound way more complicated than it is. Basically, just respond to the prompt that is given, and vote. It’s that simple.

So… how have I been doing in it? Well… I’m still in the game. Not very good, but not very bad either. Although, I will say, in the latest episode, I got into the top 1000!

There’s around 4000 people in the competition, so I will take top 1000! Still, I think my response could have been better. I didn’t use eleven words. If I had, I would have been much higher up in the rankings. I also only have one life left, so if I don’t do good on this next one, I’m going to be eliminated from the competition.

Honestly, I don’t really care about winning it. I know that there are much better writers competing. I’m going to be upset if I get eliminated because it’s so much fun. I don’t want to stop.

Anyway, I like writing. That much is very obvious.
