I was originally going to write a post for the first day of school, but considering how poorly it went (I had a massive headache, and when I got home, I fell asleep and had a 2 hour long nap,) I was not in the mood. So! For now, I may do a monthly thing, with random little posts in between. Hope you understand!

I’m not sure where to begin. Well, I made a few new friends. Mainly just one. Soller is my new best friend. She is amazing, she is pretty, and she is kind. She is a senior, and I am a sophomore, which is a bit surprising, considering how we are 3 years apart in age. However, we get along so well that it really doesn’t matter! I just think she is very cool :).

I am also no longer friends with a few people. I won’t go into details, but personally, I think it’s for the better.

Anyway, the actual school work itself. Well… it’s a bit weird. I am good at english and history, so I’m fine in those classes, but math and science is where it gets weird. This year, I have Algebra 2. I suck at math, so I expected to be falling behind, but I somehow have a 100 in it. Again, I don’t know how. Compare that to my Chemistry grade, which is an F. Yes, I have an F in Chemistry. I’ll fix it, I swear.

One thing I decided to do this year is to be more involved. I’m in Leadership, which is a class about planning school events, putting up posters, etc. That alone has led me to a lot of new things (like Soller, who I met in Leadership). Another thing is swim. I have never been interested in a sport, ever. However, I attended the Swim Team Interest meeting, and I’m working to do good at tryouts! I still need to fill out some papers, and I still need to get proper gear, but I’m excited! I’m going to work hard!

Oh, and I’m planning on attending homecoming. Soller is going in white, so I will be going in black. This is what my dress looks like!

I may need to return it in case it is too small, but I’ll gladly deal with Amazon bureaucracy to get that pretty dress.

My life feels so weird right now. There’s a lyric from a song I listen to, called Masterpiece Theater III by Marianas Trench, that goes ‘It’s getting better in the worst way,’ and that’s really the only way I can think of describing it. On one hand, I’ve made new friends and I’m having fun with being involved in school, but on the other, there are people who don’t like me now.

I’ll get used to it. It’s a part of life to be disliked. I’ve just never been disliked like this before.

Since when did this turn into a journal, lol. Actually, that’s not a bad idea.

Miscellaneous:

• I’ve gotten into Radiohead. My favorite song is probably Jigsaw Falling Into Place.
• I’m going to see Beetlejuice Beetlejuice tomorrow. I watched the original and I really liked it, but it was more creepy than I thought it would be.
• I’ve started talking to a guy. I don’t think it’s romantic, but he is nice to me and he offered to drive me around when he gets his permit. So I should be thankful.
• My mom is getting a new job at the nearby hospital!

I should go to sleep. It’s almost 12am, but it’s Friday, so who cares. Good night!
