My name is Michelle, a sophomore attending Osbourn High School in Manassas, Virginia. A rising sophomore, actually. I think that high school is about growth and independence, so a blog to catalog my growth makes sense to me! I’m not a very mature person, though. Uh…

Woah! Hey! That’s me! Not the most flattering picture. That cat is named Perry. He is my favorite cat that we have, but it’s hard to choose considering the fact that we have five of them. He is fat, and I like to pet and cuddle him, but he always tries to scratch me. He’s mellowing out with age, however. Possibly like how I will.
I’m a bit self conscious. Kind of hard not to be considering that I’m a 5’1″ girl. It’s hard growing up in the day and age because your peers will judge you for any slight little thing. You can’t be too positive, but you can’t be too negative either. You can’t be nice, either. It’s like everyone is trying to be as cool as possible. It makes no sense to me. However, at the same time, I want to be seen as best as possible to other people. So maybe I’m trying to be as cool as possible as well. Another thing is friendships. I have friends who I appreciate, but I often overthink about the nature of our relationships. I don’t have anyone who I am close to. A lot of my peers have their siblings and cousins to talk to. My brother is four years older than me, and all three of my cousins live on the west coast. I’ve always yearned for a younger sibling.
Anyway! This is my blog! Michelle’s Bedroom! I called it Michelle’s Bedroom because I’m writing this on my computer, which is in… Michelle’s Bedroom! My bedroom. I already sort of have a blog on my Spacehey, which is a social media website, but that thing is a mess. I wanted a more streamlined blog, and I got recommended WordPress. Here I am!
More about myself! I like…
- Writing! (Obviously. Why would I create a blog if I didn’t like writing? People have told me that I’m good at writing, too. Not to toot my own horn.)
- Reading! (In the words of Author Pam Allyn, “Reading is like breathing in, and writing is like breathing out,”)
- Hockey! (Let’s go Caps! Unleash the fury! Let’s hope Ovechkin beats the record.)
- Video Games! (Like any other teenager! I’ve played so many before, but one of my favorite ongoing projects right now is Deltarune!)
- Music! (Ahhh! Pearl Jam is my favorite band ever- which is weird for a 14 year old girl to say.)
- General Internet Consumption! (Ahhh, there you go. That’s more 14 year old girl. What I mean by this is things like Youtube, Twitter, and Tiktok.)
Thank you for checking out my blog! Updates may be sparse, but I want to post things about high school and the general Manassas area. Not sure how successful I will be on that front, but we will see! Bye!
